Director of Client Relations

My path to financial services came through an unlikely door. After spending years in the medical records and insurance department of a psychiatric hospital, I knew I wanted to find work where I could still make a genuine difference in people's lives, just in a different way. A physician I worked with mentioned an opportunity at Mosaic. I came in to meet the team, and that was that. Seven years later, I haven't looked back.

My role as Director of Client Relations puts me at the center of the client experience, handling everything from account openings and updates to processing transactions, coordinating with Jack and Chris, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. I was an earth sciences major at Indiana University, so I used to joke that finance was a foreign language to me. What I didn't expect was how much I would enjoy becoming fluent in it.

What keeps me motivated is the people on the other end of the phone. Clients call us during some of the biggest and most stressful moments of their lives, and being a steady, positive presence during those moments matters more than most people might expect. When a client calls to tell me they just booked that bucket list trip, or that they closed on a condo in their dream retirement spot, I'm reminded that the behind-the-scenes work I do every day is connected to something real in their lives. That connection is what I love most about this job.

I grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on a lake, with competitive sports and really excellent cheese. When I came to Indiana University for school, I fell in love with Bloomington and never left. Now I live by Lake Monroe, which suits me perfectly since most of what I love to do involves being outside: hiking, boating, camping, and walking my three dogs, Barney, Blue, and Frankie, with my partner Ryan. When I'm indoors, you'll find me reading, playing piano, journaling, playing games with friends, or watching Bravo. My family eventually followed me to Bloomington: my sister Kelsey and her husband Tyler, their kids Scottlynn and Rami, and my parents Tom and Susie all call it home now, which makes it even better.
