- How do I protect my assets for my family?
- Am I on the right track to meet my financial goals?
These are the concerns we hear from pre-retirees, retirees, business owners, and families every day. And they deserve real answers, not guesswork.

Managing Partner, Senior Financial Advisor
I grew up in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, a close-knit town just across the river from Cincinnati, where everyone walked to school, everyone went to college, and life had a certain predictability to it. What I remember most is how that changed for a lot of people in the 1970s. Inflation hit hard. Businesses failed. Families who had built something found themselves starting over. Watching that happen at a formative age left an impression on me that has shaped the way I think about money, risk, and the importance of having someone in your corner who takes it seriously.
I started my career in public accounting, spending six years in the Tax Department of KPMG Peat Marwick before transitioning into wealth management. That accounting foundation has never left me. It informs the way I look at a financial plan, the way I read a tax situation, and the way I think about the decisions that have long-term consequences for the people I work with. Over the course of 36 years in this industry, I've worked at Hilliard Lyons, Merrill Lynch, and Raymond James before founding Mosaic Wealth Management to build the kind of independent, client-first practice I always believed in.
My focus has always been retirement and income planning. The transition from accumulating assets to actually living on them is one of the most significant financial shifts a person makes, and getting the sequencing right matters enormously. My role with clients is less teacher and more counselor. I want to understand how you think, what concerns you, where your information comes from, and what you're actually trying to accomplish. From there, we apply a consistent, methodical process and keep you informed every step of the way.
I'm a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and have spent most of my life in Bloomington, which has a way of doing that to people. My wife and I have been married for 42 years. We have four children and seven grandchildren, and when I'm not working, we're usually traveling somewhere new together. I've been involved in the local community for many years, including serving as a past president of the Bloomington Boys & Girls Club board of directors and on boards for the Bloomington Hospital Foundation and the Monroe County Public Library Endowment.

My interest in finance goes back further than my career does. Growing up, I was drawn to the way money worked, how decisions made today shaped outcomes years down the road. It was my father-in-law who helped me see that wealth management was a profession where that interest could actually mean something to people. The combination of financial problem-solving and the opportunity to build real, lasting relationships with clients made it an easy decision. That was 18 years ago, and I haven't found a reason to second-guess it.
Most of my days look the same in structure and nothing alike in practice. I'm meeting with clients, whether that's an annual review, a conversation about something new that's come up in their lives, or walking someone through what it means to work with us for the first time. What I've learned over nearly two decades of doing this is that life doesn't move in a straight line, and a good financial plan has to be built with that in mind. We define goals first, build the road map from there, and check in against that plan consistently so we can adapt when things change, and they always do.
What clients tell me most often is that I have a way of taking something that feels complicated and frightening and making it understandable. That matters to me because the anxiety people carry around their finances is real, and a lot of it dissolves when someone finally explains things in plain terms. Helping a client stay steady during a volatile market, or watching them reach a goal they weren't sure was possible, doesn't get old. I've had those moments hundreds of times, and they still mean something every time.
I grew up in Carmel, Indiana, and now live in Bloomington with my wife, Nattie, and our three kids, William, and twins, Henry and Margaret. We are not a sit-still family. Between trail running, cycling, and Nattie's triathlons, plus baseball, basketball, soccer, gymnastics, and climbing for the kids, we tend to always be on the go, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jordan Stokes
Director of Client Relations
My path to financial services came through an unlikely door. After spending years in the medical records and insurance department of a psychiatric hospital, I knew I wanted to find work where I could still make a genuine difference in people's lives, just in a different way. A physician I worked with mentioned an opportunity at Mosaic. I came in to meet the team, and that was that. Seven years later, I haven't looked back.
My role as Director of Client Relations puts me at the center of the client experience, handling everything from account openings and updates to processing transactions, coordinating with Jack and Chris, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. I was an earth sciences major at Indiana University, so I used to joke that finance was a foreign language to me. What I didn't expect was how much I would enjoy becoming fluent in it.
What keeps me motivated is the people on the other end of the phone. Clients call us during some of the biggest and most stressful moments of their lives, and being a steady, positive presence during those moments matters more than most people might expect. When a client calls to tell me they just booked that bucket list trip, or that they closed on a condo in their dream retirement spot, I'm reminded that the behind-the-scenes work I do every day is connected to something real in their lives. That connection is what I love most about this job.
I grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on a lake, with competitive sports and really excellent cheese. When I came to Indiana University for school, I fell in love with Bloomington and never left. Now I live by Lake Monroe, which suits me perfectly since most of what I love to do involves being outside: hiking, boating, camping, and walking my three dogs, Barney, Blue, and Frankie, with my partner Ryan. When I'm indoors, you'll find me reading, playing piano, journaling, playing games with friends, or watching Bravo. My family eventually followed me to Bloomington: my sister Kelsey and her husband Tyler, their kids Scottlynn and Rami, and my parents Tom and Susie all call it home now, which makes it even better.
